Glashütte Original evokes the geometric forms and the colorful 1960s of the new era of the iconic square set, a group of five chronograph square squares buffered cases and five glare, the color of the dial in the company produced by the dialmaker of the German Pufuerzheim town.
The Glashütte Original Sixties Iconic Square watches — and, in fact, the brand’s entire Sixties collection — draw their inspiration from the “Spezimatic” models produced in Germany in the 1960s. The modern models’ cushion-shaped square cases, domed dials, curved hands, and period-appropriate wavy Arabic numerals are callbacks to those now-iconic mid-century timepieces. The dial colors are Sixties Iconic Forest (green); Sixties Iconic Ocean (blue); Sixties Iconic Graphite (gray); Sixties Iconic Tangerine (yellow-orange); and Sixties Iconic Fire (bright red). All are made using original tools and authentic materials from the decade for which the collection is named.
