The Kalpa Hebdomadaire Anniversaire, hides a solid gold movement within its steel case middle, which just released for their 20th anniversary.
In 1997, Michael Parmigiani designed the “tonneau” shape for the company and is one of the most recognizable from the watchmaker. With its “tonneau” shape, the movement of the hand-wound Kalpa Hebdomadaire remains one of Parmigiani Fleurier’s flagship calibers thanks to its design. It was created in yellow gold for this unique piece, which posed a real challenge owing to the malleability of gold. This feat of craftsmanship is embellished with a dragon-wing pattern, engraved to cover each bridge.
