In last year’s piece, Carl F. Bucker launched a new brand identity, a heavy gold design element that emphasizes the history of Baroque architecture in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. This year, the brand is releasing a new watch perfectly in line with this new, luxurious image: Carl F. Barker Managh retracement, an elegant general secretary of the dial.
“Bucherer” is famous watches brand among all watches collectors since 1919.
In July 2007, Carl F. Bucherer made a substantial purchase and integrated a research and movement production workshop in Sainte-Croix, Switzerland. With over 20 watchmakers on staff, the following year, Carl F. Bucherer launched its own high-grade CFB A1000 Manufacture caliber. The CFB A1000 is a hand-windable automatic movement. The movement features three patents for a bi-directional peripheral rotor, a dynamic shock system and a fine adjustment system that only needs to be calibrated once. From there, Carl Bucherer adds modules to create some practical complications such as a Big Date and Calendar, and with more complications anticipated in the near-future.
The manufacture aims to facilitate optimized production processes and greater verticalization within a modern infrastructure. The new competence center will facilitate ongoing development and assembly of in-house movements and exclusive watch models. The best Carl F. Bucherer has officially established a new production facility at Lengnau, reflecting their regional ties.
This CFB A2050 is housed in a classically designed round case. The eye is drawn to the clear edges, curves and contrasting polished and matte surfaces. The dial is a Manero classic: finished with raised wedged hour-markers and contains faceted lance hands.
In March, Carl F. Bucherer launched a new in-house movement, the CFB A2050. The Manero Peripheral is the first watch with this new movement.
The Patravi TravelTec was ahead of its time when it was introduced ten years ago, with its robust case, multiple functions and bold markings. To celebrate the anniversary of the collection, Carl F. Bucherer is introducing the TravelTec II.
This newest edition has all the hallmarks of the original, including a large, sporty case, (now even larger, at 47.4mm in diameter and 15.9mm thick), and an in-house caliber. The new movement, CFB 1901.1, features a built in complication that allows the simultaneous display of three time zones, along with a chronograph function. The date can be adjusted forward or backwards for easy setting. The third time zone on this unique watch is applied to the bezel, which features a second 24-hour scale.
